Self Esteem Coaching
Having low self esteem is like 'driving through life with your handbrake on' according to Maxwell Maltz (motivational author 1927-2003). That certainly seems to be the case with clients who come to Bright Future Coaching and describe the feeling of being 'held back' in their lives no matter what they try to do.
Low self esteem has an uncanny knack of sabotaging the best laid plans for personal improvement. This is often because people who suffer from low self esteem have a deeply held belief that they do not deserve to be happy or successful. High self esteem is about placing a high value on yourself in a way that makes you feel very loving and accepting of yourself. Knowing yourself and accepting yourself are the keys to happiness. The following characteristics are often symptons of low-self esteem:
- Critical and judgemental of self and others
- Poor or slumped posture
- Weight management issues
- Self destructive behaviour i.e. alcohol or drug abuse
- Staying in unhappy relationships
- Difficulty in seeing the positive sides of self or life in general
The coaches at Bright Future Coaching have worked with many clients who have suffered from low self esteem with great success (see Testimonials). The coaching process is very effective at isolating the fears and limiting beliefs that prevent people from witnessing the better parts of themselves. We have shown many times that it is possible to raise self esteem in a relatively short space of time. If you would like to assess your own self esteem, why not try our online test which only takes a few minutes to complete.
